Velikie Minky

Nadia Filemonovna (80) behind the fence of her house in abandoned village "Velikye Minky" some 40 km from Chernobyl NPP. Once there were 80 houses but the village was evacuated due to massive radioactive contamination. Nadia Filemonovna went back to the abandoned village because her son (one of the Liquidators who helped clean up Chernobyl disaster) had gone into the village to die there. Later he was burried in a local cemetery. Nadia Filemonovna does not have any other relatives and wanted to stay close to his grave.
